Tempus Astrum
"The Mystics have it told that everything has an equal and opposite; Day and Night; The joy of a newborn child and the sad loss of an old friend; oceans and deserts; Man and Woman; Conflict and Peace. They say that nature will find a way to keep the balance.
In my sleep I see glimpses of changing times, where our world is thrown out of balance. Each passing year my dreams have got stronger. I wake in a cold sweat, fresh wounds on my face and blood under my nails.
In the face of adversity my dreams show great hope, as Lord and Pauper; Old and New Faith, Man woman and child stand together as the fifth age comes to an end."
Tempus Astrum is the latest campaign brought to you by the team at Whispered Tales. Set on a world called Fenholme, it has influences brought from different historic periods of Earth and other fantasy settings.
Fenholme is a world of balance, of equal and opposite forces. The civilised lands are host to different beliefs and societies. It has known peace for several hundred years and trade between countries has brought some unification between them as dependency upon each other increases. The New Faith sweeps across the civilised lands, but the grip of the old has not loosened in rural communities and amongst the old. Magic takes many forms from those with minor gifts through to the highly trained Arcanists. The outer lands are greatly unknown, only the Calinthian nomads venture beyond the desert. The River craft fight back the increasing raids from the Pirates. The Sidishe venture beyond their wildes into the civilised lands and the Gull rise out of the slums. Just as the stars above shift alignment, so forces on Fenholme move into place. As above, so below.
Fenholme is inhabited by several races. The humans of Fenholme are known as Sev'rai and are the eldest of the races of the civilised lands. The other races are the elf-like Sidishe; the Dwerving who are mountain and underground dwellers with the height of the Sev'rai; The sickly Ghull; The desert nomads known as Calinthians; The travelling gypsy folk, The mysterious Suldaren with their distinct markings; and the insane Curst who are avoided like the plague.
